About Chris

For the purpose of this blog, I will briefly discuss my motivation for researching, compiling, and distributing information for nonprofit development. My agency related experiences in strategic development & conceptual writing, proposal development, promotional planning, as well as concept execution contributes to experiences that are required for the dynamics of building a nonprofit organization. If you are not a client and would like to learn about my overall qualifications, please visit the Founder page on the Hillman B2 website, which also includes a PDF version of my bio for download or online review.
Blog Motivation
Frankly, this blog was started to address client demand. In the course of developing standard small business support services such as websites, brochures, custom Facebook Fan Pages, proposals, program development, and grant writing for our previous and existing clients, I was inundated with questions regarding the nonprofit development process. Having a desire to be a continuous and well-rounded resource, I decided to conduct extensive research and compile information that was both accurate and relevant.
External “Non Endorsement” Resources
Several bonafide online sources were relied upon, most notably, the IRS which has an extensive library of great information, and should be accessed by anyone with serious intentions of developing a nonprofit organization. For legal advice, we suggest visiting the Nonprofit Legal Center – Please note: Regardless of the compelling name, this reference is not a government entity, rather, a private law firm. Feel free to research other law firms for legal nonprofit advice. For accounting support, we suggest reviewing a couple of accounting software products such as:
What We Bring to the Blog Table
In addition to an online environment to share nonprofit insight, resources, and expertise, Hillman B2 offers a suite of services that most developing nonprofit organizations will need once the information gathering session has been satisfied. Not only do we offer Design & Creative Writing services, but we also provide information that is useful to the “do it yourself” type. Additionally, you will find this blog as a good resource for “measuring” the services that you are receiving from others. You may simply ask questions without citing a supplier! We offer objective opinions and analysis so that you can become a more informed Executive Director and consumer of nonprofit development resources.
Even though selling Design & Creative Writing services would be great, whether a guest purchase services or not, the greatest desire is to encourage healthy and progressive dialogue that leads to the fulfillment of your humanitarian undertaking.
